About the Artist

Swedish-born Bea studied ceramics at the Royal College of Art before establishing her studio in Stoke Newington. Her wall pieces are built from hand-rolled slabs of stoneware or porcelain, assembled and fired in sections before being hung on bespoke wall-mounting systems. She uses reduction firing to achieve the subtle, varied surfaces she favours, colours shift across a single piece as the atmosphere in the kiln changes. Her work is collected by interior designers and hotels seeking something with a strong material presence that also recedes harmoniously into a well-designed space. Bea exhibits at Collect, the international art fair for contemporary craft.
